Safe Communities Now Alliance

Communities deserve better.

Across Western Australia, communities are worried about crime, community safety and the systems meant to protect us.

Safe Communities Now Alliance brings communities together so their concerns are heard and acted upon.

Who we are

Local communities know their own challenges best.

Many communities have been working hard within their own neighbourhoods: sharing information, supporting neighbours and raising concerns. But too often, those concerns remain isolated.

Safe Communities Now Alliance was established to bring those communities together, coordinate advocacy and pursue practical change at a local, state and national level.

Our commitment: we will listen to communities, bring their concerns together, advocate for practical solutions and stand with communities when action is needed.

What we’re working for

Practical solutions. Strong local connections. Systems that work.

We advocate for change based on the concerns and experiences of the communities we represent.

Community Safety

Practical measures that help prevent crime and make people feel safer at home, on the street and in their neighbourhood.

Accountability

Clear answers when concerns are raised, and transparent meaningful responses from the systems responsible for community safety.

Stronger Communities

Initiatives that bring residents, local organisations, businesses and community leaders together.

Better Responses

Coordinated responses to the underlying causes of crime and community harm, alongside effective policing.

Collective Action

Petitions, campaigns, and community meetings that give people a way to stand together and be heard.

Get involved

One voice is easy to ignore. Many are not.

When local groups work together, they are heard by decision-makers. Here’s how to be part of it:

  • Join the Alliance to add your voice and stay informed
  • Connect with your local group and meet people near you
  • Raise a concern you’d like the Alliance to take up
